Elizabeth/Lillibet (b.1998 London) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Bristol, at InBristol Studio.
She primarily works with oils, employing painterly techniques across her drawings and sculptural pieces. Her work has previously questioned traditional ideas about childhood by using personal memories and objects with a dark, humorous twist.
Now, she draws inspiration from a growing collection of unique found photographs, as well as references from films and literature. Her artworks are anchored in narrative themes that examine coming of age, love, and elements of fantastical unease.
Among her notable inspirations is the concept of “Doom Cakes,” which refers to a cinematic tradition where elaborately decorated cakes symbolise impending disaster, often culminating in the cake’s destruction.
